Sulking

For breakfast, I usually have a glass of orange juice, followed by buttered toast and coffee. Well, this morning I found that the last quarter of the loaf had gone mouldy. Not just one or two teeny spots of fuzz that you could pick off the crust and pretend never existed. There was too much to ignore.

So I binned the remains of the loaf and had cornflakes with sultanas instead. Only problem being that the milk is just turning. It wasn't nasty enough to put me off altogether but it had that slightly 'off' taste and I left some in the bottom of the bowl.

*sigh*

At least the orange juice was good.

*shudders* That sounds horrific! Then again, I can't stand milk at the best of times!

What you need is cereal thats even better when eaten dry, like sugar puffs or honey nut things, stuff like that.

Oooh, or you could go continental and have natural yoghurt on your flakes? It has a longer life than milk.

I prefer to keep my cereals to the plainish sort. I certainly don't need to have sugary cereals in my diet at the moment. Less sugar would be more appropriate.

I'm not sure I like the idea of yoghurt on cornflakes, even just plain, natural yoghurt. Milk usually last OK, but it's been hot lately. shall have to get back into the habit of keeping bread in the fridge too.

Ewww. I can cope with just-turning milk in coffee, but not on cereal, so you are brave!

My problem is that I don't want something until it's gone bad. I'll finally decide, hey, I want that yogurt I bought and, bam, it's outdated. *humph*
