You'd think she'd learn

I popped into the living room last night to fetch the biscuit tin. I didn't bother putting the light on, as I knew exactly where the tin was, and there was some light filtering through from the landing and windows. All the same, I moved slowly and cautiously - which was just as well.

I trod on something soft and lumpy, which shot out from under my foot and across the room. Either Skiffle had been lying down, or was facing away from me, because I hadn't seen any of her white bits. Almost as soon as this had happened, my eyes adjusted to the low light, and I could see her sitting in front of the telly, giving me a dirty look.

Someday, cats will learn that human's can't see in the dark as well as they can.

In other news: I have to get round to installing my video and checking that it does work. I got it back from Richer Sounds on Sat, but it's still in its box. The machine currently plugged into my telly is the one they loaned me, which they seem to have forgotten that I've got. I don't need two machines though, so I might as well give it back to them.

Some day, cats will also learn that human skin is more sensitive to sharp little claws than their own is... *looks at Heidi*

Yes, but we're still bigger and stronger than they are - and we have nail clippers
