Old Charlie

I just visited the bathroom, and as usual, took a look out of the window, which is the only one in the flat I can actually get a real view of anything from (without the need for a stepladder)

It's at the front of the house, and as I looked out, I saw a large, sandy-coloured cat trotting along the pavement. As it vanished into the shadow of next door's front wall, I was thinking that I'd not seen that cat around here before - that it had a very thick tail and long legs - ah - it's one of the local foxes going about its business, just a few feet from the front door. I lost track of it sadly as I'd have liked to watch it. However, it clearly had someplace to be.

I happily remember one night about three years ago. Skiffle and I stood at the bathroom window and watched a pair of young foxes rummaging through a torn rubbish bag on the pavement opposite, and playing with some of the contents. They carried on for a good 20 mins, and it would have made great telly. But I'm the only one who saw it.
